In this session, you’ll gain tools to unlock your team’s purpose and align their goals with the organization’s. You’ll also learn how to create team commitments, providing clarity and purpose to succeed.

    Pre-class training (30-minute video): Building Resilience: Finding Your Strengths and the Capacity to Thrive

    Class instruction (2-hour live online workshop):

    • Compare and contrast skills leaders need to lead in-person versus hybrid teams.
    • Determine your role in setting overall expectations for how your team interacts.
    • Plan how your team will create a team purpose statement and ground rules to promote clarity and alignment.

  • Defining Employee Success and Managing Expectations

    How do you measure success if you can’t see what your team is doing? In this session, you’ll start at the beginning, reevaluating your team’s performance standards, and where, when, and how their work gets done. Through this clarity comes empowerment with accountability.

    Pre-class training (30-minute video): Unleash the Power of Teams – Increasing Effective Decision Making

    Class instruction (2-hour live online workshop):

    • Identify attributes that help employees succeed in remote or hybrid work environments.
    • Apply a performance management model to decide which standards need to change or remain.
    • Apply strategies for balancing business needs and employee needs in where, when, and how work is performed.
       

    Post-class action steps: Communicate performance standards, plan development actions, and introduce a flexible work arrangement proposal.

  • Building Trust from a Distance

    Trust, the foundation of all relationships, may feel harder to build when you and your team are in separate locations and perhaps working different hours. In this session, you will explore strategies and create a plan to intentionally build trust across your team. The stakes are high: Trust is hard to win and easy to lose.

    Pre-class training (30-minute eLearning): Modes of Communication

    Classroom instruction (2-hour live online workshop):

    • Identify key behaviors that build trust in-person and virtually.
    • Explain the importance of inclusion and empathy for a remote and hybrid team.
    • Create transparency around everyone’s work to build trust, relationships, and motivation.
       

    Post-class action steps: With your team, conduct two trust-building activities, facilitate an inclusion discussion, and implement any necessary changes.

  • Facing Challenging Conversations on Camera

    Challenging conversations either build trust or tear it down. They’re called challenging for a reason. In this session, you’ll explore the ingredients to a successful outcome: self-reflection, careful planning, live practice, and applying emotional intelligence. You have one shot to get this right.

    Pre-class training (30-minute video): Emotional Intelligence: Evolve as a Leader

    Classroom instruction (2-hour live online workshop):

    • Determine whether a difficult conversation is worth having, and if so, how and when?
    • Differentiate between what someone says versus what they mean.
    • Prepare and practice a challenging conversation in a virtual platform.
       

    Post-class action steps: Conduct challenging conversation(s) as needed with affected employees.

  • Fostering Team Collaboration and Connections

    Why are two (or 12) heads better than one? Collaboration greatly increases productivity, drives innovation, reaps great results—and can be fun along the way. In this session, you’ll identify team behaviors that drive true connections and cohesiveness. You’ll also practice team interactions for all types of teams: in person, remote, or hybrid. Collaboration is key!

    Pre-class training (30-minute video): Leading Effective Meetings: Virtual, In-Person, or Hybrid

    Classroom instruction (2-hour live online workshop):

    • Identify attributes and behaviors that lead to team success.
    • Demonstrate virtual collaboration activities that can be used in further team encounters.
    • Explain benefits of a collaborative team to the team member, the leader, and the organization.
       

    Post-class action steps: With your team, do one Take-5 activity and lead one collaboration activity.
