Kate’s "why" is driven by her desire to help others. Everyone in her life feels her passion to serve. Her enthusiasm to connect with people allows her to develop rapport quickly. She always wants to leave value in all her member interactions.
Kate has 20+ years of HR Generalist experience working with both mid-size and small businesses in manufacturing, professional services, financial service and automotive. In the fall of 2019, she joined MRA’s Member Relations department as an advisor to member companies. She primarily focuses her time engaging with members with under 50 employees. Previously, she worked for MRA as a Human Resources Business Partner, providing direct HR help to members. Additional career experiences include working with individuals with disabilities, ensuring access to education and community work experiences. This work brings her a unique perspective on how employers can help bring diversity to the workplace.
- Created Human Resources Business Partner relationships with department leaders which facilitated efficient staffing metrics to meet business needs including high-volume recruiting and downsizing activities.
- Established an HR function in several small businesses bringing the business in compliance and creating functional structures and processes to assist in business growth.
- Supported several individuals with disabilities to find success both in educational and work settings.
Kate holds a bachelor of business administration in human resources degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
