JJ learned about leadership and inspiring people to achieve their potential during his 26 years leading soldiers in the United States Army. He believes that people are the most important asset to any organization. JJ applies his people and leadership skills to ensure that MRA members have the best trainers to provide the right training at the right time to meet their learning objectives.
JJ has led organizations of all sizes at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. During the last 19 years he has focused on training, developing training tools, and planning and executing training events. He leverages his strategic planning experience and knowledge of learning and development to create a learning team that solves problems. His role at MRA includes leading the Learning and Development team and supporting learning with optimal training technologies, methodologies and curriculum.
- Developed the stratregic plan for creating a corporate university for a Fortune 100 company.
- Created a Learning Community of Practice within a large, complex global organization that increased collaboration of learning professionals.
- Led the only Army organization responsible for developing computer-based training systems for the entire Army.
JJ has earned master’s degrees in strategic leadership from the U. S. Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania and in interactive simulation and training systems from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
