Amanda begins her work as a recruiting business partner from an uncharacteristic background. She brings to the team over 15 years of professional experience and knowledge in interpersonal communication and leadership in the corrections and higher education fields. Amanda is passionate about providing excellent member-centered services and working with members to provide top-notch services.

She has strong oral and written communication skills and is an expert in interviewing and active listening. Amanda is skilled at providing perspective to a diverse workforce, motivating employees, improving morale, and attracting new talent by engaging in meaningful communication.

Key Accomplishments

  • Led organizational change during the consolidation of a division of the Department of Corrections involving the closing of work locations through positive attitude, professional communication, and teamwork
  • Crisis negotiations commander—incident command system command and general staff certified; facilitated statewide training regarding negotiations and emergency response

Education

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in administration of justice from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI and a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Lakeland University in Sheboygan, WI.

Community Activities

Amanda is a volunteer emergency medical responder for her local fire department. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Correctional Association for 4 years and the WCA Conference Planning Committee for 9 years.
