Rebecca’s favorite thing to share with people is that she recently earned her black belt in tae kwon do. This has enriched both her personal and professional life, showing her persistence and willingness to work hard as well as the guts to try new and hard things. She likes referring to herself as the "Black Belt Lawyer!"

Expertise

Rebecca’s expertise is in the legal field, both in the courtroom and the classroom. She was a defense litigator for 13 years and an adjunct lecturer at a major university for 16 years. She brings her knowledge of employment laws to help members understand HR compliance and her legal expertise to support MRA.

Key Accomplishments

  • Directed the development of the Institute of Human Resource Mastery curriculum, a course offering three tracks of instruction geared to the career needs of the participant
  • Advised hundreds of clients on litigation avoidance through counseling on a wide range of employment laws
  • Achieved SCP (Senior Certified Professional) certification through SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management
