Growing up, Kong had always wondered how she could have an impact on and help others in her job, and being in Human Resources was the perfect solution. Kong has found the ability to not only help an organization meet their goals and shape their culture, but most importantly, the ability to connect and be an influence on people’s personal and professional lives is fulfilling.

Kong has served as an HR practitioner in generalist and leadership roles in the manufacturing. She has broad experience in recruiting and onboarding, training and development, employee relations and investigations, compensation and benefits, payroll, and safety.

Key Accomplishments
  • Served as a site human resources business partner responsible for all human resources administration and effectively communicating corporate policies and procedures while collaborating with all levels of employees to develop a culture of accountability
  • Navigated a merger, an acquisition, and plant closure, assisting employees through the change management process
  • Analyzed and developed a job specific training program to quickly increase job knowledge and skills for existing and new employees
  • Developed a new compensation structure for an hourly workforce
  • Assessed organizational needs and collaborated with key stakeholders to extend benefit programs to an hourly workforce
  • Enhanced the workers’ compensation process to ensure proper documentation and manage the return to work procedure
Education

Kong has a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also holds an associates degree in travel/tourism and meeting/event planning from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
