Debbie’s first career was as a pastry chef, but she realized as time passed that food only provides a temporary solution; long term effects happen when you become a resource to people. Her “keeping it real” approach has helped her form trusted relationships across all levels of business, although it sometimes helps to call on her culinary skills to break the ice.
Prior to joining MRA, Debbie had over 18 years of HR experience in both the hospitality and manufacturing industries. Her career has included generalist to management roles where she has focused on benefits, wellness, and employee relations. A strong curiosity of employment law has lent itself to successfully handling Worker’s Compensation, unemployment and EEOC claims, as well as internal investigations.

- Obtained PHR (Professional of Human Resources), SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional), CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) certifications
- Former State Council member for Wisconsin SHRM
Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Silver Lake College (Holy Family College).
Professional and Community Activities
Debbie enjoys volunteering for local organizations including Meals on Wheels and Junior Achievement. She is also a regular blood donor and participates in the Wisconsin MS bike ride each year.
