A provider should offer multiple metrics that address your target area of interest. It’s also important to verify the benchmark includes like-attributed participants in their data, such as industry, location, employer size and revenue. Similar to compensation data benchmarking, metrics benchmarking requires an “apples to apples” comparison to be actionable.
