NOTE TO EMPLOYERS: Communicating an employee death can be very sensitive. Keep in mind the following considerations:

  1. Confirm with the family that they are comfortable with the detail disclosed about the death
  2. If appropriate, include funeral information if customer is interested in expressing personal condolences
  3. Reassure customer of how service will be conducted going forward
