VETS-4212 Reporting Portal Opens for 2026

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) has opened the 2026 VETS-4212 reporting portal. The 2026 filing cycle began August 1, 2026, and covered federal contractors and subcontractors must submit their reports by September 30, 2026.

The VETS-4212 report is required under the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) for covered federal contractors and subcontractors. Generally, contractors and subcontractors with a federal contract or subcontract valued at $200,000 or more must file the annual report.

What Employers Should Do

Covered contractors should:

• Confirm whether a VETS-4212 report is required for their organization.
• Gather the required data on protected veterans employed and hired during the reporting period.
• Review company and hiring-location information in the reporting system for accuracy.
• Submit the report by September 30, 2026.
• Keep a copy of the submitted report and all supporting records for their files.

Employers that are new to the system can request access for a new company or an existing company through the VETS-4212 reporting application.

The VETS-4212 report provides information about the employment of protected veterans and may be used by OFCCP when evaluating contractor compliance with VEVRAA.
