Ah, the glamorous Oscars ceremony. The awards show that’s jam-packed with beautiful movie stars living decadent lives, joining together for a night of lavish parties and postured mingling.

It’s the Oscars after all - people tune in to see all of the grandeur, which can be incredibly entertaining. But this year, viewers who tuned in for some eye candy witnessed things that could quite possibly help make the world a better place.

  • Rami Malek, a first generation American from Egypt, took home the Oscar for best actor for his role in "Bohemian Rhapsody." In a heartfelt speech, the actor encouraged his fans to continue to find their voice, truth and live unapologetically.
  • Lady Gaga won the award for best original song for “Shallow” and delivered an emotional speech on the importance of following your dreams. “This is hard work. I've worked hard for a long time, and it's not about winning. But what it's about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There's a discipline for passion. It's not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or you're beaten up. It's about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”
  • And it was as though Captain America was at the Oscars himself when Chris Evans (who plays the superhero) shot out of his seat to help the struggling Regina King up the stairs in her gorgeous gown and killer heels. The chivalrous act prompted all kinds of swooning across social media.

See? Whatever is going on, maybe it’s a tough job hunt or a challenging spot at work, here’s a great reminder that motivating life lessons can happen in the most unsuspecting of places.
