Given the ongoing spotlight on the #MeToo movement and legalized marijuana, HR plays a key role in ensuring the work environment is safe and free of harassment. In this session, we will talk about the impact of harassment on an organization’s culture and ability to attract and retain talent. We will also explore the challenges of addressing substance use and abuse in the workplace. From drug testing policies, to reasonable suspicion testing, to mandatory EAP referrals and last chance agreements, we’ll review common strategies for addressing drugs (and alcohol) in the workplace. There’s simply too much at stake for organizations not to pay attention to these important topics.
