Business demands may sometimes require employees to work extra hours beyond their regularly scheduled work hours. Whenever possible, the Company will notify employees in advance if overtime will be necessary. However, employees are expected to be available and to work the extra time when needed, regardless of what notice has been given <unless the employees have a pre-approved absence from their supervisor>. Absences or tardiness for scheduled overtime will count as any other day of the week toward the total attendance record.
