Professional and artistic work that includes preparing drawings or paintings for use by various media to complement printed or spoken words. Contacts are primarily with end-users, who may be internal employees or external clients. The individual will establish contacts for the purpose of exchanging information, such as requests or updates on projects; explaining and clarifying requirements; or interpreting notes, rough sketches and related data. Assignments are accompanied by general instructions, limitations, the expected quality and quantity of results, deadlines and priorities. Requires significant independent judgment to select a style, technique and medium, depending on the assignment. Work is reviewed upon completion to ensure end-user satisfaction.
