Primary responsibilities include:
- Facilitate/Lead strategic planning
- Set company goals
- Evaluate acquisition/merger opportunities
- Contact and prospect possible acquisition/merger candidates
- Maintain “higher level” relationships with suppliers and customers
- Develop relationships with new supplier partners
- Approve “major” capital expenditures
- Provide management support for Vice President level
- Maintain legal council
- Lead quality/continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain banking relationships
- Provide management support for specific Group Managers
- Involvement in the formation of supplier partner agreements
- Direct involvement in the enhancement of supply partner relationships
- Final say in all budgets
- Manage the Human Resource function closely
