Susan brings extensive HR operations and strategy expertise. She is a trusted HR and compliance leader with great depth and breadth of HR knowledge acquired while working in progressive leadership roles in health care, professional services, and manufacturing industries. Susan is known for her excellent project management skills, and business savvy and for delivering results. Susan especially enjoys implementing HR transformational change and turning around underperforming functions.
- Re-engineered a high-volume talent acquisition function, averaging 700 open requisitions. Results included: time to fill decreased across all job families, candidate and hiring manager satisfaction increased, process steps reduced by 30%, and metrics built in to the daily work of the team.
- HR turnarounds: conducted planned exit of chief human resource officers (CHRO), assuming roles. "Righted the ship" and assessed team. Worked to stabilize and advance HR programming. Hired replacement and onboarded new leader. Most turnaround assignments lasted 1–2 years due to member request.
- HR transformational change: Restructured multiple member company HR departments to ensure roles and services aligned with strategic needs of the respective business. Successfully influenced behavior of HR consultant teams with an administrative approach to be more customer centric and "think business." Shifted functions to centers of excellence. Created HR operational dashboards.
- Promoted to lead various lines of business within MRA. Expanded service offerings, delivered responsive cost-effective solutions, and developed marketing concepts to promote services.
Susan has a master’s degree in industrial relations and is current in both HR certifications: the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the Society of Human Resources – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
