Jessica’s passion lies in pursuing new adventures and traveling the world. Those close to Jessica recognize that her passion, curiosity, and perseverance propels her forward and guides her down roads less traveled. Success means she continues to enjoy life, experience new things, and take on new opportunities.

In her position as an Affirmative Action Products & Services Lead, Jessica serves as the FACE of MRA’s Affirmative Action team. Her responsibilities include managing projects, developing Affirmative Action Plans, providing member support, training and content creation, and generating new business.

Expertise

Jessica has extensive knowledge in broad-based human resources practices and strategic business partnerships serving small to mid-sized organizations in the manufacturing and services industries. Her expertise includes practical knowledge of business management and strategy, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and workforce planning, performance and organizational development, investigations and conflict resolution, compliance, safety, and risk management.

Key Accomplishments

  • Manage projects by facilitating member meetings and presentations, responding to member questions, managing workflow, and completing projects within budget and member expectations.
  • Develop and coordinate the creation of Affirmative Action Plans for a diverse group of companies and organizations. Includes data reviews in Excel and Plan creation in proprietary software.
  • Delivered and supported value-added services and innovative solutions to management and employees that align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company such as spearheading the implementation and migration of multiple HRIS platforms resulting in automating the compensation, performance management, applicant tracking system, and benefits processes.
  • Developed, implemented, and managed compensation strategies to ensure consistent, equitable, and market competitiveness compensation programs, evaluated pay for a variety of positions utilizing market data from local, regional, or national sources while maintaining compliance with government regulations.
  • Designed, streamlined, and executed the strategic talent acquisition process and onboarding initiatives that attract and retain a superior workforce, reduced turnover from 24.32% to 13.80% in a single year, effectively improving the candidate experience, reducing costs, and adding value to the bottom line.
  • Established and led a sustainable, comprehensive well-being initiative offering results-orientated and participation-based programs focused on best and next-in-class practices modeling WELCOA’s seven benchmarks, achieving increased employee satisfaction and engagement. Programs offered throughout the year explored areas of social, financial, emotional, and physical well-being.

Education

Jessica holds a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the Society of Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.

Professional and Community Activities

Jessica is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and a faculty member of the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). She has impacted the local community by volunteering at various organizations including Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation.
