Community engagement, spending time in nature, and traveling all fill up her cup!

Carmen has several years of experience in talent acquisition, focusing primarily on recruitment in various areas. She enjoys supporting candidates throughout this process and pairing individuals with opportunities aligned with their knowledge, skills, and abilities. To successfully support MRA’s members throughout the recruiting and hiring processes, Carmen takes the time to hear their needs and the candidates’. Carmen has a strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and advocates for equitable hiring practices.

Education
Carmen earned her bachelor’s degree in human resource management from UW-Milwaukee in Wisconsin. She is also currently pursuing her master’s degree in human resources and labor relations, also from UW-Milwaukee, with graduation in May 2023. This will include a graduate-level certification in Organizational Leadership within Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Professional and Community Activities
- Active participant within MRA’s iLEAD program, focusing on pivotal DEI conversations, community engagement, and intentional follow-up
- Member of the SHRM – Metro Milwaukee Chapter
- Volunteered internationally in Chang Rai, Thailand for 5 weeks, assisting with community needs
- Studied abroad at Maynooth University in Ireland with a focus on economics and management in international environments
