    Crisis Management—Leading from the Front

2020 has been a year on tilt in multiple ways, and crisis can breed behaviors in people contrary to how they would normally act. By managing one’s own behaviors, being realistic about what you know and what you don’t, and by engaging others to become part of the solution, strong leaders and HR professionals can turn a crisis into opportunities.

In this session, you’ll begin to recognize the multifaceted reactions people have when in crisis and explore the three elements that make crisis leadership successful.

    Recognizing and Combating Unconscious Bias

Biases. We all have them, whether we know it or not. Left unchecked, these mental shortcuts can create barriers to inclusion, engagement, and performance, which in turn impacts organizational effectiveness.

In this session, we’ll gain self-awareness of our perceptions of others, explore the four layers of differences, and uncover ways to combat hidden biases that can interfere with the respect and relationships needed in successful organizations.

Remote Team Engagement – Building for the Long Haul

Now that remote work has become the norm, today’s leaders and HR professionals must find new and better ways to engage their remote teams. How do you replicate being in-person with co-workers when relationships and trust are most readily built?

In this session, we’ll explore some creative solutions that are working to uncover successful outcomes from employees no matter where they do their work.

    The Power of Positivity

In a world where so much has gone wrong this year, there is a beacon of hope that still propels people to incredible achievements -- positivity. And not in a “being positive just for the sake of it” sort of way, but instead reframing one’s thinking to meet any challenge no matter how great.

In this session, we’ll consider how mindfulness, self-affirmation, and optimistic thinking can bring about innovations that would have never come to light had the situation not been so seemingly dire at the outset.
