What do you do when your co-workers have a hard time keeping their distance or their masks on at the office?
We received a call the other day about this very topic. Sophia’s employer recently required all employees to come back to work. She was working from home without issue and is genuinely uncomfortable about being back in the office.
With pandemic fatigue continuing, some employers are noticing that those coming into the office occasionally and others who have been in the office this whole year are becoming a little more lax around keeping their distance or not wearing their masks. So, what’s a person to do?
Our answer may surprise you because it’s so basic. It’s like that recipe you love that has four ingredients but is so delicious. We suggest hanging a sign at eye level right outside your office door to remind people what they need to do to keep everyone healthy and happy (and less anxious).
It can say something along the lines of:
- Thank you for chatting with me from outside my office!
- Thank you for chatting with me from outside my office, with your face covering on!
MRA created these signs that you can print and hang by your office door. You’ll be surprised how effective this piece of paper can be when it comes to reminding people how to act in our (hopefully temporary) new normal.
