In our last edition of Inside HR, we asked organizations if they have a policy prohibiting vaping. It was almost a near-perfect split between organizations that do (39%) and organizations that don’t (40%). Another 11% said they were considering it, while the remaining respondents indicated they either treat vaping as smoking or haven’t addressed it yet.
In recent years, the surge of vaping has demonstrated that it is a popular alternative to smoking cigarettes. Employers who want to address vaping in their smoking/tobacco-free policy can update their verbiage or view our sample Smoke and Vape-Free policy to get started.
