Cheryl Lucas-DeBerry is Training Manager for MRA–Institute of Management. She has over 12 years of experience designing and facilitating training programs in the areas of human resource management, leadership, customer service, and diversity.
Cheryl’s experience includes the development and management of training department operations and supervision of a basic education program for adult learners in the not-for-profit arena. As an independent consultant, she consulted and trained numerous managers in effective communication techniques and leadership skills.
Cheryl earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville in human resource management and received her master’s degree in adult education from Carroll College, Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), the Minority Human Resource Association and the Leaders Forum. She is currently on the board of directors of the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of ASTD.
