Wage and salary surveys are an important resource in helping organizations establish pay practices and wage structures. MRA receives hundreds of calls each year asking for market data on various positions. When using survey data, it is important to know not only what the market is paying for a particular position, but also the "make-up" of the survey participants: Are these companies a good match to your organization? Survey data is a guide and not an absolute.

MRA's Policy: When an organization joins MRA, one of your executives designates a "survey contact" for purposes of receiving confidential wage and salary data. Whenever wage information is requested, MRA confirms that the individual requesting the information is the survey contact (or someone the survey contact has authorized to receive confidential wage information). These procedures are in place to protect our member organizations. Our members trust MRA with confidential wage and salary information and we want you to be confident on how MRA handles this data.

When Requesting Wage and Salary Data: If you are not the survey contact, MRA will need to receive authorization from the "survey contact." This can be done by either having the "survey contact" call us directly or we will be happy to call that individual for you.
