Is Your Company A Best Place to Work in SE Wisconsin?
Sorry, we are no longer accepting applications. Look for results in April!

Milwaukee Magazine, in partnership with MRA - The Management Association, is looking for the best places to work in Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington, Walworth, Waukesha, or Milwaukee county.

We're seeking great employers across three size categories:

  • Large Companies (500+ employees)
  • Medium Companies (101 - 499 employees) and
  • Small Companies (100 and fewer employees)

This year there is a special focus on how companies are handling multiple generation workers. We're also looking for top companies that advance worker training and actively engage employees.

Note: We have yet to meet the organization that excels in every category we list. We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for real companies that create great partnerships with their employees.

Why apply?

  • Winners will be featured in the April 2008 issue of Milwaukee Magazine. Winning can be a great source of recognition and a great recruiting tool.
  • Taking the survey can provide valuable insights into what it takes to be a Best Place to Work - even if you think your company isn't a contender this year.
  • Everyone who applies will receive a report on 5 key benchmarks, comparing their organization's scores to the collective scores of the winners.
  • There is no fee to apply.

Who's eligible?

  • Your company must reside in Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington, Walworth, Waukesha or Milwaukee county.
  • Past winners are eligible to apply.

What's required of me?

  • Apply online by November 15, 2007. The survey must be filled out in its entirety. (Quick tip: Don't close your browser before completing the survey or all your data will be lost! You can take breaks, you just can't close before you're done.)
  • The survey is mostly checkboxes and should take you about 30 minutes to complete, once you have the information together. You are also asked for a 500 word narrative on what really makes your company "A Best Place to Work". Get creative! We love to hear those special company stories!
  • If you are selected as a semi-finalist, you will be asked to go to the second phase, which is conducting a brief employee survey with a random sample of your full-time and part-time employees in SE Wisconsin so that we hear from several voices within your organization.
  • If you are a winner, you will be notified by February 2008 but you must keep it under raps until that April issue hits the stands!
