About Best Places to Work in Southeastern Wisconsin
The Best Places to Work in Southeastern Wisconsin program, sponsored by Milwaukee Magazine and MRA - The Management Association, identifies organizations with leading-edge practices that result in engaged employees and productive companies. The program was open to organizations in Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington, Walworth, Waukesha, and Milwaukee counties. Winners were identified for large-sized companies, medium-sized companies, and small-sized companies. In addition, MRA selected organizations that excelled in employee training, cultivating and supporting a multi-generational workforce, and employee engagement.
MRA selected organizations on different criteria across nine categories:
- Work-Life Balance
- Employee Voice & Workplace Culture
- Community Involvement
- Turnover
- Pay
- Benefits
- Perks & Incentives
- Training & Opportunities for Advancement
- Diversity
Everyone who applied received a report on five key benchmarks, comparing their organization's scores to the collective scores of the top winners. Additionally, those who moved into the semi-finalist phase of the competition also received a summary assessment of their employees' responses to an Employee Opinion Survey. This survey was created to capture employees' beliefs about their company's policies, culture, and other variables. Click the links on the left to find out more about the process and the winners.
