MRA Streamlining Surveys to Give you Data that Makes a Splash
Earlier this spring, the MRA Survey team invited MRA members to participate in two of our most popular salary surveys – The 2015 Nonexempt Wage Survey and the 2015 Managerial, Supervisory and Professionals Salary Survey. The survey team worked to streamline the questionnaires to save you time. Members were able to access both surveys from a personalized landing page, making it more convenient to start, stop, and work, based on their own schedules. This year, MRA partnered with member company Laacke & Joys to offer an incentive for participation. Our message was simple:

And the Winner is...
Over 900 organizations participated in each survey, but there could only be one winner. The lucky kayak winner was Mary Livingston, HR Manager for ATACO Steel Products, which offers custom metal stamping and fabrication services.
Mary Livingston has been ATACO’s HR Manager for over a year, and relies on the expertise and support her MRA membership offers. Although Mary has participated in several MRA surveys at ATACO, she actually has been involved with MRA for much longer.
"I’ve had the honor of working with MRA over the past 25 years at different employers, so I’m very familiar with the surveys," Mary says. She cites the data as being helpful in day-to-day operations. "When you’re a one-person department, MRA surveys are one of my best resources. The salary survey data, for example, helps us stay competitive with things like pay and benefits."
Given the many hats Mary wears as HR Manager, her days at ATACO are filled from start to finish. That’s why she appreciates the convenience of MRA surveys. "The drop-down menus make the surveys go quickly. I also like the fact that I can stop during the survey, save my data, and start again later. Nothing is lost and I don’t have to start at the beginning."
She says the minimal time invested in surveys is well worth it. "It really doesn’t take much time, because MRA has simplified it. It’s definitely worth the time because then you have the data when you need it, at your fingertips."
Mary was also thrilled that by participating in the surveys, if offered her the chance to gain useful wage and salary data, but a kayak as well! "I’ve never been in a kayak, so this will be interesting!" she laughs. "But I’m very excited. This will be a lot of fun."
