Update and publish inclement weather policy/procedures.
Check with employees to assure that file information is up to date.
Log in to BNA Employment Guide and on the left top click on Model Forms, next click on Model Personnel Forms and then click on "Personnel record verification and change form".
Verify and update employee emergency contact information.
Post 2006 holiday schedule.
Prepare new attendance forms for 2006.
Distribute 2006 vacation schedule forms so supervisors can start tracking 2006 vacation.
Verify employee insurance selections and waivers.
Check that HIPAA Certificate complies with recent final regulation changes.
Send COBRA rate increase notifications to COBRA participants.
Send new medical certifications for individuals with chronic serious health conditions (calendar FMLA).
Plan for distribution of new summary plan description or summary of material modification for health insurance plan.
Make/update calendar of key annual activities.
Assign one key HR policy per month for review and updating.
Summarize your key accomplishments for 2005 and survey HR performance to set goals for 2006 that tie into the organization's business plan.
Verify that annual census data for welfare plans has been sent.
Review files. Move old files to storage and destroy files as appropriate under your record retention policy.
