The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau was honored at the 2011 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Tourism. They took top honor in the Best Creative Cooperative Partnership, submitted jointly by the QCCVB and Champaign County Convention & Visitors Bureau, for a new program called Illinois Countryside Journeys. The program promotes agricultural experiences to the leisure traveler and group tours.

Muscatine Power and Water has been awarded the 2011 PRB Plant of the Year in the small plant category. The Power Plant was inducted into the Power Plant Hall of Fame on May 9th. The generation facility will also be featured in POWER Magazine.
